<abstract>The Natural History Museum Rotterdam (NMR) houses a collection of about 250.000 - 300.000 specimens/samples. The collection is available for scientific research. Electronic registration started in 2004. Currently the collection database holds about 16.000 records and is available for online search.</abstract>
